How to Connect to EVOWOW

World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a (build 12340)

Before you begin, we recommend reading our F.A.Q. and Rules.

• To play on EVOWOW, you need a registered account and a compatible World of Warcraft client.
• The server supports Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a (build 12340). A newer game client will not be able to connect.
• You can create an account from the Registration page.
• EVOWOW does not provide or host the game-client files. Users are responsible for having a lawfully obtained compatible client.
• For convenience, a community torrent file for WotLK 3.3.5a (12340) is available. The torrent file itself only contains peer-to-peer sharing information; the game files are shared between users.

Configure the Game Client

1. Open your World of Warcraft directory and then open Data\enGB.
2. Find the file realmlist.wtf. Depending on your Windows settings, it may appear simply as realmlist.
3. Open the file with a plain-text editor such as Notepad.
4. Delete its current contents and enter the following:

set realmlist logon.evowow.com

1. Save the file and close the text editor.

Start the Game

• Return to the main World of Warcraft directory and locate Wow.exe.
• You can create a desktop shortcut to Wow.exe for easier access.
• Do not start the game using Launcher.exe. The launcher may update your client to a newer version that cannot connect to the server.
• On the login screen, enter your EVOWOW username, not your e-mail address. Enter your account password in the Password field.
